初めて兄弟で演奏した動画は2010年01月03日にアップされた「川は流れる 仲宗根美樹」で、藤井空がピアニカ、藤井風がピアノを担当した。

5歳の時に父の勧めでピアノを始める。 9歳からエレクトーンに転向。同時期に父親からトランペットの手解きを受ける。
高校卒業後ヤマハ音楽院エレクトーン科に入学し卒業。 現在は大村楽器店に勤めている。
そのほか、音楽講師や、ピアニスト・トランペッターとして各地での演奏活動を行う[1][5]。
2021年に初めてのソロアルバム「そらのソロ」を発売した。現在は完売している[5]。
